Hi,

Is it possible to include in the future, the possibility to upload pictures with higher resolution?

I have no problem with 1600x1200 pictures put I'm unable to upload 2048x1536 pictures.

I read that's it's already known but can it be corrected?

Thanks!

I'm not aware hat Expose blocks the size!? Is will probably be some server limitation like upload_maxfilesize or so.
Trial and error, but first a backup!

Hi,

I tested it,
I upload a file of 2 MB with resolution 1600x1200 no problems.
I upload a file of 400KB with a resolution of 2048x1536 a received "could not communicate with the server"

I checked all the server limitation (I found 3) in my server and they are all at 16M.
The test prove it! It's not the size but the resolution that cause problems.

I don't have the help doc but in the section troubleshooting there's a case that suggest to downgrade the resolution of your picture if you have the "could not communicate with the server" problems.

How can this issue be corrected?

Thanks

And if you use the bucket? Do they both pass there?
Expose uses the GD lib to create the pictures. Need to check the limitations of this lib.

Hi,
Just want to share my experience with this error:

I got the message "cannot comunicate with the server" and have tried everything in the manual and all suggestions in this forum. But nothing helped. My isp did not have the mod_security installed so when tried to set the secfilterengine off and secfilterscanpost off in .htaccess file i got error messages in the browser so i could not see the site.

My isp was very helpful, and they helped out testing the upload. But we could not find any other solution that it was the picture resolution which caused the error. When i changed the resolution to a lesser size it worked fine.

I used the ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe file to resize all files. This file was found/attatched somewhere here on the forum.

Known issue. GD only supports limited picture sizes.
