Hi,

I'm using Expose with Joomla and it seems to be working fine and I can upload JPG files both from my desktop and through the bucket, but when I try to upload GIF or PNG files they do not show up as available in the 'Select Files to Upload' dialog box. I've check my phpinfo and GD Support (GD version 2.0.28) is enabled, along with the PNG and GIF options.

I'm stuck if I can't upload GIFs and PNG's, any ideas?

Had to test it out before I could answer this one. I guess you found a bug! Uploading GIF and PNG doesn't show in the list, but you can view the files by typing '*.gif' or '*.png' in the filename, and hit <enter>. Then you can select them and upload.
This would fix it, but I only get black images after upload (do you?).
If so, you'll need to convert your pics to jpg before uploading for now. There are many freeware tools to do this in bach for you.

Sorry for the late response. I get the same black images when I try that upload approach. I could convert to jpg but the images I wanted to show were animated gifs so not sure they would convert. Ho hum

Still really like Expose and will keep using it and will keep checking back in case you find a fix for this!

No. Currently we're modifying Expose for use in J! 1.5. When stable, we'll have a look into the upload issues and features, but actually, this is not our todo, but slooz's, because it's proportionally flash embedded, and we don't have the source of this.

2 years after the first post on this topic, I've tried for PNG on 4.6.2 & 4.6.3 versions without success...
What a shame ! this component is amazing, an update would be welcome.
