Hello,

My gallery is showing a blank page when displaying in the front end - i am pretty sure that it was working fine - then one day it was not - and i do not recall making any changes to site -

when i right click the area that would normally show the ablums thumbs - i see that there is a flash player loaded - just blank screen though.

anyone else experience this? could be a conflict - but i just dont' recall installing any other plugins/addons since it was working fine.

using exposeprive 4.6.2 - joomla 1.5.7 - need to updaet joomla - i know :roll:

Could I get you to try turning off the SEF. Your Expose flash SEF URL - builtbyfergus.com/cms/index.php/componen...xpose/swf/expose.swf

Normal Expose flash URL:
builtbyfergus.com/cms/components/com_exp...xpose/swf/expose.swf

Expose do not support SEF, so an exclusion rule has to be made.

i am having the same problem with the component loading a blank page on the front end. I have no idea what turn off SEF means so wasn't sure where to look for that. Here is my built in check result

Very simplified use of SEF URL:

Normal URL: joomla.org/indes.php?option=com_user&id=10
SEF URL: joomla.org/user/john


SEF = Search Engine Friendly


Hope it make some sense. Expose do not support SEF [creation of links, where you replace the gallery/collection/album/media id value with a name string, that is readable/making sense for a human. Like this e.g.: joomla.org/index.php/houses(gallery name)/brick(album name)/admiral hotel (media name)].


@charoa. Sorry, ment to write SEF. The black page problem, can also occur of other reasons. Could I get you to upgrade to 4.6.3 Alpha C? It is very stable, I am personally running it on several production sites. The reason is, that it will check more server variables, that can cause issues.

@mjel. If deactivating the SEF doesn't help, could I then get you to upgrade as well?
