hello-

i am trying to update my expose 4.6.2 to 4.6.3 and i'm not having a lot of success. the documentation refers to an update package, but all i could find was the full version of Expose_4.6.3_Alpha3c...

so I tried uninstalling 4.6.2 and installing 4.6.3. i backed up my img / xml / config directories as instructed. then i tried to uninstall the 4.6.2 component. it gave me an error message that said the uninstall failed and yet expose is no longer in the components menu.

next i tried removing the "components/com_expose" directory and the "administrator/components/com_expose directory", but it won't let me. i get this message...

... and if i look at the MySQL db's through phpMyAdmin i don't see expose in the jos_components table.

oddly enough, it appears to still be working from the front-end.

any help is greatly appreciated.

If you can not delete a file this sounds like the file permissions were not set correctly. Have you tried to set them manually? (i.e. chmod) Have you read the manual yet? Just want to make sure before we start asking questions.
